As I walked down to the station this morning I started to think about the day ahead and still had no clue what I wanted to thank God for and write about. He’s done so much so it shouldn’t be that hard to pick just one thing.

Got into work, sat down to catch up on emails and 5 emails from one person saying the same thing stood out! *Screams* Okay I get the message! As I read the mail for the 5th time this stood out…

“In the Bible, God's friends were honest about their feelings - sometimes even complaining and arguing with Him - yet He didn't seem to mind. In fact, He encouraged it. To be God's friend you must share your true feelings with Him, not what you think you ought to feel or say”.

God doesn't expect you to be perfect, but He does expect you to be honest. If perfection was a requirement not one of us would qualify. Finally! Now I know what to thank God for today.

A few weeks ago, a few friends and myself where talking about a movie we all watched and as we somehow digressed we found ourselves talking about marriage, YES I said IT MARRIAGE and the characteristics of the proverbs 31 woman. When we look at all the wonderful qualities of a Proverbs 31 Woman it can be overwhelming, and we all agreed that trying to emulate her lifestyle and characteristics was daunting. But we challenged each other and all agreed to put it into practice, encourage each other and get progress updates each week.

I choose to focus on one attribute each week.

Week one was fine I excelled! But by week two I started to struggle and I must admit I got angry at myself for not being able to conquer the next characteristic.

I don’t think that men should use the checklist in determining a “suitable” mate #Justsaying and please #DontJudgeMe.

So today I openly say dear Lord I tried to emulate the characteristics of the proverbs 31 woman, she is PERFECT I am not perfect and I am happy that you prefer honesty so I won’t hide and pretend I NEED YOUR HELP! I want to be ME I prefer ME to HER but I would like help with attaining some of her profound characteristics.

On that note I don’t think that you can check off characteristics on the list and determine yourself “righteous.” But I do think that we can use the characteristics as a guide, of what we should be aiming for.

So to all the ladies out there I encourage you to try and please do not beat yourself up if you fail. If at first you don’t succeed, try again! And to the men who are seeking for a PROVERBS 31 woman kindly do a 360 evaluation of your characteristics first thank you very much.

To the gentlemen continue to encourage the ladies and thank you for your patience.

So today I am thanking God for Manny, Eman, uncleman, trouble, Emmanuel as most know him by. For the all wonderful things that God has done and is yet to do in your life. Thank you for sending me the email 5times!

I did a little research and found a list of her attributes, we all posses some or most of these attributes. Maybe rather trying so hard to emulate her, focus of perfecting the attribute you already have before embarking n a new journey to conquer it all like we did.

<span style="font-family: Times, "Times New Roman", serif;">
<span style="font-family: Times, "Times New Roman", serif;">He’s been my shoulder to cry on, always there to make me smile, tell me off when am going in the wrong direction. I love the way he alters my plans and makes me follow his own, which inevitably is always better than mine. Am not talking about the average man, he doesn’t do mediocre, he is a king and I am privileged to have him in my life. My best friend, father, counsellor, teacher etc all wrapped up in one The Prince of Peace.
<span style="font-family: Times, "Times New Roman", serif;">As I walked to the station this morning I was thinking retrospectively and suddenly realised that I’ve spent so much time worrying, asking and wanting everything that I forgot to enjoy and thank God for what he has given me.

<span style="font-family: Times, "Times New Roman", serif;">
<span style="font-family: Times, "Times New Roman", serif;">We ask he delivers, then we ask again and he delivers and we just get caught up asking and wanting that we often forget to thank him properly and enjoy what he has given us.
<span style="font-family: Times, "Times New Roman", serif;">God has been good, and I promise to thank him openly for all he did, is doing and is yet to do. Thank you Lord for my life, without your guidance I really don’t know where I would be today. I’ve spent so much time asking for the world and forgot to thank you for all you have done.

<span style="font-family: Times, "Times New Roman", serif;">
<span style="font-family: Times, "Times New Roman", serif;">I have decided to take time out to enjoy all the great things that he has given to me, and thank him properly for it all. <span style="font-family: Times, "Times New Roman", serif;">I couldn’t have asked for a better start to the week, so far it’s been a fantastic day! Discover the talents and gifts that you possess, learn how to offer those talents and gift in a way that most benefit others. Every day this week I will take time out to thank him openly by posting a blog.

<span style="font-family: Times, "Times New Roman", serif;">On a lighter note someone said expect the worst so you don’t get disappointed when your expectations aren’t met. But it’s contrary to my belief after all Faith is the substance of things hoped for and the evidence of things not seen. Do I expect the worst at all times which means being pessimistic just so I don’t get too disappointed or do I just have faith? HELP!!!

<span style="font-family: Times, "Times New Roman", serif;">
<span style="font-family: Times, "Times New Roman", serif;">By faith Noah, when warned about things not yet seen, in holy fear built an ark to save his family. By his faith he condemned the world and became heir of the righteousness that comes by faith.

<span style="font-family: Times, "Times New Roman", serif;">
<span style="font-family: Times, "Times New Roman", serif;">By faith the people passed through the Red Sea as on dry land; but when the Egyptians tried to do so, they were drowned.

<span style="font-family: Times, "Times New Roman", serif;">
<span style="font-family: Times, "Times New Roman", serif;">By Faith Abraham, even though he was past age- and Sarah herself was barren- was enabled to become a father because he considered him faithful who had made the promise

<span style="font-family: Times, "Times New Roman", serif;">
<span style="font-family: Times, "Times New Roman", serif;">So I choose the latter - Ask and have Faith, without doubting that God will deliver in his own time.

<span style="font-family: Times, "Times New Roman", serif;">
<span style="font-family: Times, "Times New Roman", serif;">Today am thanking God for my Family.

<span style="font-family: Times, "Times New Roman", serif;">
<span style="font-family: Times, "Times New Roman", serif;">Have a good one all

Cripple a man with polio, and you have Sir Walter Scott.

Lock a man in prison, and you have John Bunyan.

Raise a man in abject poverty, and you have Abraham Lincoln.

Subject a man to bitter religious prejudice, and you have Benjamin Disraeli.

Strike a man down with paralysis, and you have Franklin Roosevelt.

Have someone born black in a society filled with racial discrimination, and you have Booker T. Washington, Harriet Tubman, Marian Anderson and George Washington Carver.

Make a man the first child to survive in an impoverished Italian family of 18, and you have Enrico Caruso.

Have a man born to parents who survived a Nazi concentration camp, paralyse him from the waist down when he's four years old, and you have the incomparable violinist Itzhak Perlman.

Call a man a slow learner and mentally challenged, write him off as beyond education, and you have Albert Einstein.

Helen Keller was born blind and deaf, yet she graduated from college with highest honours and impacted the world.

Margaret Thatcher, England's first and only woman Prime Minister, lived upstairs over her father's grocery store. For a while her childhood home had no running water and no indoor plumbing.

Golda Meir, Israel's first and only woman Prime Minister was a divorced grandmother from Milwaukee.

It’s probably because I got used to waking up late, to sunshine, noise and the smell of freshly baked bread! The last few weeks have been phenomenal! After working extremely hard throughout 2010, a 3 week respite in the sun didn’t seem long enough. But am happy, I feel great and am ready to conquer the world!

Happy new year to all my wonderful friends, family, faithful readers; and HATERS! (better late than never to say happy new year and although mine came 17days late).Why am i thanking the haters? We always have to thank the haters because to be honest without them things can get boring around here. Most importantly I want to thank God for being the pilot of my life, seeing me through 2010 and into 2011 safely. Many wished to see the New Year but only a few made it through, to those we lost in 2010 RIP!

I thank God for his word and for my family the latter played a major role in keeping me grounded. Without structure, love, discipline and support from them I don’t know where I’d be today so thank you! I am not lucky to have a wonderful family I am simply blessed! His word has made me a better person, each day I learn something important I must say the bible is the blueprint to living a fantastic life!

Happy new-year once again to all my faithful readers! And to those who have been supportive I love you all! I hope everyone had a fantastic Christmas and a great start to the New Year! I certainly did and I pray and hope that this year will be a great year for everyone! I pray that whatever you are hoping/praying for (as long as it’s in line with Gods plans for you) it will happen!

New Year resolutions!

Every year for as long as I can remember, I’ll have a long list of resolutions.

Eradicate negative people, Run a marathon, Buy a horse, Win the lottery (Play the lottery), join the gym, go backpacking, climb the Great Wall of China, etc.

Well that ended 2years ago when I realised that 4 weeks into the New Year id either have forgotten half of what I put down on the endless list, or I’d struggle to keep up with my long list of resolutions so I stopped making New Year resolutions and started setting goals and achieving them.

Saying & doing!

So far it’s worked and each year I pick one or two things and I focus on completing it. Last year I picked up reading (one of my DO’s) and I don’t mean Elle and Instyle. I started with the very girly novels by authors such as Sophie Kinsella and Louise Bagshawe and I can proudly say I am addicted to books and I love reading. Getting on the train to and from work doesn’t seem so bad anymore because am always so excited to continue where I left off.

WHAT NEW YEAR RESOLUTIONS DID YOU MAKE THIS YEAR?

This year I will spend more quality time with my family

I will give more to those who are less privileged

This year I will not tolerate mediocrity!

I mean I currently don’t but am taking it to another level now. Call me shallow if you like, but in my own opinion when you spend a lot of time in the bin, you eventually become trash. Sounds so silly but I have seen people go from zero to minus 20! I have said it before and I will say it again “you are the average of the five people you spend the most time with.” – Jim Rohn. It is absolutely critical that we be very selective.

Enough said for now, fasten your seat belt, hold on tight and enjoy the pleasant journey into 2011. It’s definately going to be an exciting year & I can’t stop smiling beacause am excited!

Bye for now & God bless!

FollyKay

Ecclesiastes 9:9Good morning Barbie’s and Kens!

Ladies and gentlemen boys and girls welcome! I hope you all had a splendid weekend, got plenty of rest and feel fresh and ready for the week ahead!
It certainly feels good to be back! The last few weeks have been very hectic and exciting for me! And i am grateful to God for all the wonderful opportunities he has thrown my way. if you haven't said thank you to God today take a second and do so!
My last post was in July (embarrassed face)and I feel awful but there was a very good reason why I haven’t posted a blog.

101 reasons why I haven’t posted a blog, or abandoned my blog as one of my faithful readers stated. Here’s there list.
Dear reader’s the only reason why I haven’t blogged for over 4weeks is BECAUSE MY LAPTOP PACKED UP! I was upset, extremely frustrated and I almost threw it out the window! excuses i hear you say? but that’s the truth and only reason. I will endeavour to find alternative ways of posting my blogs, moving on swiftly.

My journey into work this morning was shockingly smooth! No delays whatsoever! No weirdo’s jumping in the tracks, etc. I got on the train and as soon as I found a seat I pulled out my book and continued reading. Yet another amazing read and I will recommend it to all see the SUCCESSFUL FOLKS READ SECTION WHICH I WILL UPDATE SHORTLY.
I arrived at the office put on my computer, scanned through my emails briefly, organised my to do list, and as usual made my cup of tea. first few emails were the usual requests for work to be done, another 10 marked urgent review which i did look at. i then proceeded to the Word for today, henceforth reefed to as WFT FOLDER opened the mail from UCB word for today which I encourage you all to read! I am always eager and excited to read the word for today, simply because each day I learn something new. WORD FOR TODAY

The title: Marriage Rights….Live joyfully with the wife whom you love...

I am yet to go through a day where I don’t hear people (myself included) talk about marriage and weddings. Uncles, aunts, grandparents, colleagues, friends, frenemies, parents, (the list is endless) all asking and talking about the same thing MARRIAGE.
It’s currently a hot trend and the way some folks go on about it, like it is a must have fashion accessory! As we all know, well for those who do but need clarity and for those who didn't Marriage and THE Wedding so to speak are two different things! A lot of folks I won’t categorise so I don’t get bombarded with hate mail talk about it (what is it? I will elaborate later) is it the marriage or the wedding?
Am assuming that most of us have watched the movie why did I get married 1&2, if you haven’t and are hasty, or anxious like most people to buy the IT accessory please watch the movie. NOT EASILY BROKEN is another fantastic one to watch! If after watching these movies, reading the word for today, and the biblical definition of marriage you don’t stop, think, pray and question MARRIAGE then you can proceed to the altar.

HAPPILY EVER AFTER?

I have exhausted all the possible answers to the questions that everyone asks? When is it they say, when the Lord ordains it I say.
If you have any cheeky answers that work for you please feel free to send me an email with the details, some people need to be stoned with firm responses.
Marriage/Weddings are both common topics amongst many at the moment (note I haven’t categorised).
Where three or more women (both single/ courting & between the ages of 22-35 my calculation may be somewhat biased or inaccurate) are gathered marriage is definitely going to be discussed with much passion. Why? I hear some say (especially the men) well go figure!

There’s a big difference between marriage and weddings.
Marriage is priceless; weddings on the other hand are expensive especially when you want a lavish do.

I smiled to myself and said father are you testing me? If so I am ready because the word was very Apt! yesterday i was having a conversation with a friend about what else marriage. lol and boy did we talk about a lot of MARRIAGE FAUX PARS unfortunately i wont share sorry.

I continued to read the word and then paused. I got to a part where two couples where about to say their vows.

“You have the right to remain silent, anything you say may be held against you, you have the right to have an attorney present, you may kiss the bride."'

I instantly thought MARRIAGE equals PRISON! and then my smile suddenly disappeared!
I have heard about and read a few articles where people men in particular refer to marriage as a solitary confinement! Although I beg to defer andI say each to their own! If you put 5dollar in you get 5dollar back, if you invest your time, work hard at your marriage/relationships you'll reap the great rewards of your hard work. what you put in is what you get back out! it isn't rocket science. Garbage in Garbage out!
I continued reading the word this statement stood out

To know what your marriage rights are, you must understand that, first, marriage is God's idea.

Not yours, mine, your mothers, or fathers own idea, but Gods idea! So if God hasn’t ordained it and MR AND MRS AB&C have forced, talked you into it, etc

Please pray and seek Gods first, for they will not be in your marital home with you, we don’t want the divorce rate to keep soaring.

So I looked up the associated passage in the bible Ecclesiastes 9:9

New International Version - Enjoy life with your wife, whom you love, all the days of this meaningless life that God has given you under the sun— all your meaningless days. For this is your lot in life and in your toilsome labour under the sun.

Amplified Bible - Live joyfully with the wife whom you love all the days of your vain life which He has given you under the sun--all the days of futility. For that is your portion in this life and in your work at which you toil under the sun.

New American Standard Bible - Enjoy life with the woman whom you love all the days of your fleeting life which He has given to you under the sun; for this is your reward in life and in your toil in which you have laboured under the sun.

The following stood out from reading the passage:

• Enjoy life, live joyfully.

• Whom you love, Enjoy life with the woman whom you love.

• All the days of this meaningless life that God has given, all the days of your vain life, all the days of your fleeting life.

• For this is your lot in life, For that is your portion in this life, for this is your reward in life

Marriage is Gods idea!
if couples fully understand this why do people still get married for the wrong reasons? The only reason I could think of was mainly because they don’t! if you beg to defer please feel free to explain why.

The passage clearly says enjoy life, not live in unhappiness, reiteration of the word WITH THE WOMAN, WITH WHOM YOU LOVE. All the days of this meaningless life that God has given, all the days of your vain life, all the days of your fleeting life. (Ouch that scared me a little, could this be the reason why men get scared? I DON’T BLAME THEM) The scripture didn’t say live in pain, with the one you like, whenever you feel like or suits you.

Let’s analyse some vows

I take you to be my wedded wife/husband; with deepest joy I receive you into my life that together we may be one. As is Christ to His body, the church, so I will be to you a loving and faithful partner.

To have and to hold, from this day forward, for better, for worse, for richer, for poorer, in sickness or in health, to love and to cherish 'till death do us part.

Okay hold up folks why would anyone want to say these vows before God and man knowing they would live a life contradictory to the vows? We can’t predict the future I hear you say? I’ll save this debate for another post.

I will share the passage from the word of today with you so you can understand the reason behind the atrocious prison like vow that gave me a fright earlier on.

Sonja Ely writes,
'I was watching my five-year-old granddaughter play with her toys. At one point she staged a wedding, first playing the role of the mother who assigned specific duties, and then suddenly becoming the bride with her "teddy bear" groom. She picked him up and said to the "minister" presiding; "Now you can read us our rights." Without missing a beat, she became the minister who said, "You have the right to remain silent, anything you say may be held against you, you have the right to have an attorney present, you may kiss the bride."' To know what your marriage rights are, you must understand that, first, marriage is God's idea. In Eden He said, '..."It is not good that man should be alone; I will make him a helper comparable to him"' (Genesis 2:18 NKJV).

The word 'comparable' means 'compatible with his (or her) needs'. When you marry someone, you marry everything they've been through. Each of you brings your own baggage. Unless you sort out what to keep and what to discard, things can quickly erode. You must also understand that when you leave God out, you have problems. Satan has made marriage one of his prime targets. He loves to promote strife.

When it comes to marriage we must learn to forgive, 'Lest Satan should take advantage of us; for we are not ignorant of his devices' (2 Corinthians 2:11 NKJV). God's plan for your relationship is strength and harmony, not strife and confusion. He wants to help you build a strong, loving union that glorifies Him. To do that, you must show grace, and resolve to make Jesus Lord of your relationship.

Marriage is forever, well it is supposed to be till death do you path right?
Wedding – is a ceremony that lasts a day, 5 days for some, and only a few hours for most.

All marriages are joined by God. However In some cases, one can be married to one and bound to another (Rom. 7: 3). Marriage does not necessarily imply there is a bond. Two eligible people must have the intent of the marriage commitment.

God ordained marriage is manifestly permanent (Gen. 1, 2). In alluding to and reinstating the original marriage law, Jesus said: "…what therefore God hath joined together, let not man put asunder.

Marriage is a choice, a decision that two people make before God to become one. I would love to hear you own opinions on the above topic please feel free to comment. These are based on my own thoughts and understanding of what I knew, know and just learnt.

Please comment as we all have different views and opinions! I would love to read your comments on the current IT trend MARRIAGE! i would urge the married folks to also elaborate as they would also have a totally diffrent view.

Thanking you all in advance
Who is that I hear you say? B’dvine is a talented young lady, who’s always has had a passion for art and has successfully turned her passion and hobby into a career.

Rules of wealth (ermm) #5: You can make money from your hobby! Whatever your hubby is, painting, talking, driving, walking dogs, designing, singing, playing the piano etc . Find something you’re passionate about, something you enjoy, and find a way to make money from it.

Dear readers,
What’s your definition of success? What does it mean to you and how do you measure success?

I would love to read all your wonderful definitions and opinions and may the lord grant us wisdom to understand and work towards being successful in every aspect life.

Many talk about being successful, but what is success?
I hear it all the time! Some folks want to have a successful career, some want successful relationships; some want successful businesses. But I rarely hear people talk about wanting a successful relationship with God. Many dream of success while others wake up and work hard at it. I believe that before you can become successful you have to understand what it is. In my honest opinion success is achieved and maintained by those who try and keep trying.

I want to be successful in every aspect of life! I’ll be damned if I give up every time an obstacle is throw my way trying to prevent me from moving up. I have this quote glued to my PC at work “unless you are willing to drench yourself in your work beyond the capacity of the average man, you are just not cut out for positions at the top”. Then I say to myself, FollyKay doesn’t do mediocre, she aims for the top and she will get to the top! In order to do what you love, you might have to do things you don't love as much, but as you look at the big picture, you'll love them because they're taking you where you want to go. -MCU
B'dvine - B'dvine Enterprises is a professional service and product provider within the UK. We specialise in bespoke wedding dresses, cosmetics and professional makeup. At school my best friend came up with a sassy nickname B'dvine. B short for Bola and divine was just a name which she saw fit due to my character and virtue.

FollyKay - How and when did you start out in fashion design and bridal wear?
B'dvine - November 2008 to be precise! I had the gut feeling my boyfriend at the time was going to propose, so I started searching for the perfect dress. After sourcing through the internet, making contacts with bridal companies, attending bridal shows I was able to network and build a portfolio of contacts for myself. I can be very picky, and I knew if my boyfriend proposed the only thing that could stop us from getting married within a short space of time was my indecisiveness! So I decided to design my own dress. I didn't have the patience to try on many dresses and I am very in tune with my body shape, so I designed something that suited my figure. When my dress arrived I was overwhelmed with joy, from a mere sketch to this beautiful piece that was my inspiration! From there I figured I wanted to create bespoke dresses, for every bride at a reasonable price.

FollyKay - What’s your bridal wear signature style?
B'dvine - My Bridal wear signature style is contemporary with a twist of the clients taste or idea. We offer bespoke dresses, so it’s solely based on what client wants.

FollyKay - What and who motivated you to create the brand?
B'dvine - This may sound funny, but my husband motivated me a lot, he pushed and pushed and even showed me how to create a website. I would sit for hours in a day putting together the website. There are so many aspects of designing and although I liked drawing and sketching but I had to learn to sketch as a fashion designer. I knew I wasn't going to be Picasso or Banksy, but I motivated myself. God has also been my most determined motivator, he created an avenue and I walked through it.

FollyKay - What motivates you when it comes to designing? Where do you seek your inspiration/what inspires you?
B'dvine - When designing I look at the current trends, but most importantly I listen to clients requirements when they come and see me after all my aim is to please them. B'dvine is all about taking the idea from your head and putting it on paper, it’s about making your dream dress a reality. I have also been to a few fashion shows, and I get inspired by what I see on the runway. Fashion shows premiere the next season’s collections/Trends so I get to see what's out there and what will be out in the following season.

FollyKay - Can you provide a retail price guide for your bridal wear?
B'dvine - trying not to sound too technical it all depends on the requirements, Prices range from about £250 - £1500 or more for a wedding dress. Bridesmaid dresses range from £80-£200 or more again depending on the requirements.

FollyKay – You participated in the mahogany bridal show, how did that go and what did you learn from the show?
B'dvine – The Mahogany Bridal Show was fantastic; I mean it’s a great platform for anyone looking to get into the industry. I enjoyed myself, the models were great to work with and I tell you now, my collection was well spoken of! I connected with so many people, and built great networks. I met some really great people in the industry and would definitely participate in something similar or bigger in the future so watch this space.
<span style="font-family: Times, "Times New Roman", serif;">Firstly I want to use this opportunity to apologise for not posting a blog last week. To all who sent emails complaining, accept my sincere apology. So today, like every other day it’s all about inspiring you after all that’s one on the reasons I created this blog.

<span style="font-family: Times, "Times New Roman", serif;">Someone asked me after my first post, (I don’t know if she was being cynical), did you create the blog out of boredom? If you asked FollyKay that question 5 years ago her answer would have been served with hot sauce intending to burn you. My response: When am bored I cook and shop! Writing is therapeutic and for all those who know me well it has always been a hobby, no a gift bestowed from God. (As always am digressing)

<span style="font-family: Times, "Times New Roman", serif;">Without aspirations for a better existence you are going nowhere! Wake up! Get out of bed and do something extraordinary today towards achieving your goals!You can walk through, jump over and break down any obstacle in your way.

<span style="font-family: Times, "Times New Roman", serif; font-size: large;">My motto: "Aspire to inspire before you expire"!
<span style="font-family: Times, "Times New Roman", serif;">I don’t believe in magic, but I do believe that God helps those who help themselves! So stop procrastinating get up, get dressed and move!!
<span style="font-family: Times, "Times New Roman", serif;">Firstly set goals- Realistic and achievable goals! Who am I kidding set yourself unrealistic goals too, just make sure you work extra hard to achieve them.

<span style="font-family: Times, "Times New Roman", serif;">Do not be content with mediocre jobs, life, and people. Aim for the highest and work towards achieving it! Life is too short and time is money! It goes by so fast, we cannot control it, and unlike sky-plus we can’t pause, fast-forward or rewind it. Make the most of every second and make it worthwhile.
I had barely slept thanks to this allergy called hay fever! I have tried everything, eye drops; nasal sprays, even lining my nose with Vaseline. Sounds grim I know but what’s a girl to do?! Especially on a sunny Saturday morning

In my last post I mentioned that I was going through a healthy eating/lifestyle phase! Thankfully it’s now a major part of my life believe it or not. And in order to keep the momentum going I started running. I set myself daily and weekly targets; and work extremely hard to achieve them!

My Pedometer & new best friend!

FACT: 30,000 steps a day means you burn 1,500 calories in one day. Ditch the car more often and walk or run!

Good running shoes are required if you plan to start, below is the pair I got for myself not very glam, but it does the job.

One of many excuses not to run has been the "bad weather" although the weather was awesome that day I certainly had no intentions of running mainly because the pollen count seemed to be increasing by the minute so I opted to take a long stroll in the afternoon.

That afternoon I walked to the underground tube station (Subway), and got on the train with the intention of getting off two stops away, then walking back home.

I sat down and before I could even start thinking of where to get off, I spotted her! There she was, sitting with a big smile on her face, chatting away with her friend/boyfriend/brother (not sure who he was). I tried hard not to stare at her in shock with my mouth open but I just couldn't help myself.
Talk about a mismatch fashion faux pas! OMG! Close your eyes and let me paint the picture!

An A-line pink chiffon floral dress, ( with green, yellow and pink floral prints) frills at the hemline. It reminded me of the type of dresses that our grandmothers stopped wearing after high school (I have seen pictures).

Dear readers please do not call or even think of her esemble as a vintage piece! This dress lacked elegance!
Vintage is copied from its use in wine terminology, as a more elegant-seeming euphemism for "old" clothes. –Wikipedia

As if that wasn't bad enough, her skin-coloured tights were torn! I don’t think she knew it was and i was too scared to tell her. Miss mismatch had on on a beige blazer (it was a nasty shade of beige) which I personally think should be binned! Gold peep toe sandals, a white and black clutch bag and too much kabuki make up! Okay I have over exaggerated the makeup part, but she looked a hot mess! Fashion police hand her 50points and a free pass to see a personal image consultant at Enmarcha!

Colour clashing is fun and looks great when the right shades are put together, but it can also look tacky. Wearing one shade of beige from head to toe is way to mediocre and boring! It’s okay to swtich things up to make an outfit look great but there’s a limit. A plain red play suit with a bright yellow belt and yellow flats works well. However her ensemble was all wrong! I find my self digressing alot, so am goning to go back to story.

Four stops later and she got off the train; I hope she doesn’t ruin the wedding pictures. I forgot to mention she was heading to a wedding.

I stayed on and typed away as I didn’t want to forget any of the details, I mean how one can forget a nigtmare. I had to capture all my thoughts while the image was still fresh in my mind but as we got closer to my destination, three ladies walked into the train and they made Miss mismatch look like a runway model. It was a mixture of badly sewn weaves, market stall clothes; and a hint of BO!

Ladies please believe me when I say weaves aren't meant for everyone. I know we can all afford to go crazy with the Brazilian, Aunty Funmi, Remi, Malaysian hair, etc. Please find a good stylist. Weaves are supposed to blend in with your natural hair and look natural! Hide your tracks; don’t put them on display for the world to see; it’s just tacky! Most women I know take time out to ensure their hair looks good. Even when they are having a so called bad hair day they still look fabulous! Some people definitely do require help.

Ladies if you have weddings to attend please remember certain hairstyles, clothes and colours should be avoided! If in doubt get someone else’s opinion. Just because a particular dress fits Miss A, doesn’t mean Miss B will look good in it too. It isn't rocket science and we all know that, so do yourself a favour and ask somebody!
In the words of "Coco Chanel" a woman should be two things "Classy & Fabulous". Please don’t be a Miss Mismatch.
Blake Lively looked stunnin in this Marchesa fall 2010 peacock draped chiffon strapless dress which she wore to the 2010 Met Costume Institute Gala. Compared to the Versace gown she wore last year this Marchesa peacock dress is a showstopper!
